Who We Are
The National Black MBA AssociationThe National Black MBA Association, Inc. (NBMBAA) is a not-for-profit organization focused on providing African Americans the opportunity to pursue a higher education and achieve economic wealth. We exist to help individuals change the course of their future. Professional development, networking and service have been the hallmarks of NBMBAA for nearly 40 years. In 2009, we are developing more members, awarding more scholarships, increasing our corporate connections and creating more job opportunities, in addition to providing world-class training to our constituents. We are proud to help our members and friends. The New Orleans ChapterThe New Orleans Chapter was founded in 1996 and currently has members at all levels of business management, from a wide array of disciplines including: Finance, Information Technology, Marketing, Law & Engineering.
The Chapter maintains relationships with many of New Orleans’ community-based organizations and corporations. We are committed to contributing to our partnerships by continuing to provide opportunities that derive mutual benefits.
The Chapter’s primary goals are to successfully operate four major programs and annual events during the year: 1) the Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) High School Mentoring Program, 2) the Economic Development Initiative, 3) the Annual Scholarship Banquet, and 4) The Annual LOT Golf Tournament. Additionally, many of our members participate in the Annual National Conference and Exposition. To insure across the board involvement for our partners, we offer a participation package that supports all of these projects.
